Position: Full-time Operations Supervisor


Reporting to: Operations Manager

 Job Summary:

Assists in all flight operational processes. Gives support whenever required through training and guidance to the Operations Team.

  • Staff Rostering
  • Time management / 24hr operations  

 Job Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Must be a (RAIC) Restricted Area Identification Card holder. AVOP DA an asset.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree – aviation related studies.
  • Experience in aviation customer service, baggage handling and ramp.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with clients, vendors and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while balancing safety, operational needs and client expectations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to document and verify critical flight information.
  • Willingness to work a very flexible schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures staff requirements, regulatory compliance, appropriate training and qualifications are met.
  • Recommends solutions to support agents and work environment.
  • Mentor and guide staff to ensure company policies and standards are defined, administered and monitored.
  • Assists to create, revise and implement roster changes to flights and staff movement whenever necessary.
  • Anticipates potential challenges.  Coordinates with the airline and service vendors to minimize disruptions.
  • Manages expectations, operational constraints and provide options in dealing with flight irregularities.
  • Monitors flight progress in real time, maintaining communication with agents, client airlines and regulatory agencies.
  • Participates in employee performance evaluation.  Review service delivery shortfalls and recommend corrective measures.
  • Assists in flights due to constraints, non routine operations, and during flight disruptions.
  • Keep meticulous record of flight documents as prescribed by the airlines’ procedures in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.
  • Prioritize safety, procedures, and team collaboration while making an informed decision in high pressure situations.
