Position: Mechanic (Entry Level Full-time Position)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Mechanic to join our ground maintenance team. This role involves maintaining and repairing airport ground support equipment (GSE) and related mechanical systems in a safety-critical, regulated airport environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist senior mechanics with inspection, maintenance, and repair of airport equipment
- Perform basic servicing on ground support equipment such as baggage carts, belt loaders, tugs, de-icing units, and generators
- Conduct routine maintenance including fluid changes, oil change, lubrication, and component replacements
- Learn to diagnose basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with airport safety procedures
- Follow company policies, safety programs, and applicable Transport Canada and GTA airport authority regulations
Job Requirements:
- Valid G driver’s license
- Must possess and keep in good standing Driver’s Licence and AVOP/DA
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with small engines, automotive, or heavy equipment
- Must be focused on the task at all times
- Being timely is crucial
- Physically capable of working indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
