Position: Cargo Specialist
Reporting to: Warehouse Lead
Job Summary: Organize warehouse and storage facilities; arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload air cargo. Maintain the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong physical endurance and able to lift 25 kgs or more
- Must be able to work flexible working hours
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Can communicate with superior, co-workers and customers
- Must have the ability to operate machineries
Job Responsibilities:
- Properly communicate with customers and truck drivers with regards to acceptance and delivery of cargo
- Be able to accept cargo, deliver cargo and make sure that AWB numbers match on the physical cargo
- Measure the actual weight and dimension of cargo correctly
- Help in tie-up of ULD’s, build-up and breakdown of cargo
- Help in cleaning up after breakdown
- Drive forklift and other equipment needed in the warehouse operation
- Prepare and palletize cargo if needed
- Store and properly handle different types of cargo, dangerous goods, special cargo, and general cargo
- Follow Dangerous Goods requirements segregation chart for storage
- Comply with GTAdnata Standard Operating Procedures and Policies
- Follow safety and security protocol within the vicinity
- Report to Lead and Supervisor
- All other duties as assigned
